The short story. The tree removal went great except I dropped the saw from 40 feet, my bad. It was tied on. I guess my skills have eroded a little. Anyway It daggered into the ground, bent the bar so I rented Doffing and his saw for 20 bucks. I am working on the stump, a little later.
As in the past mostly family info and photos will be posted here. Mona and I are remodeling the family home in CF and have plans to move there in the future. My other blog is full but is always available for viewing @ http://xcalaman.blogspot.com. For large view, click on image. If interested in house photos we up-date those folders from time to time. What you can and what you should not do with a 60 foot ladder
A 60 foot Werner ladder weighs almost 200lbs and comes in three sections. So you can have three ladders, a forty footer, a 60 foot and a a 20 foot available to use.
I saw this one, retails around $1350 new, on "Craig's." I followed the pricing for a week or so, and then made a few offers, and one was accepted. Turns out the guy that owned it had stage 3 pan cancer, felt bad about it all and gave him about the starting price after all that. Take 1k off the new price and it still was quite a deal. The key is who in their right mind would use one?
P.S. 7 van load of woods have come off the hill in the last week and I mean full loads. See, you can be broke and still have cheap high adventure.

Go right to the bottom for help
It took over 7 weeks to get the new elec upgrade installed and inspected, the state was in a shut-down during that time, so the backup of inspections was out of control. Then it took 3 more weeks before Excel came out to swap the over head lines from the rotting mast to the new metal pole. I was out of town for that transfer. So they did it, but they hooked up the "rats nest" of long tails to the old wooden mast from the new metal one. Lots of calls and I was told that they could not visualize my problem from the office. So I made contact with a local line man that had been to the house before. And guess what? After looking at it he also decided that this was wrong and a mistake. So with no work order and no more visualization he got a ladder out and 1/2 hour latter had it fixed. Now we are just a few weeks from a furnace install, I hope, and then will get some ins agents out here.
